From the Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of America’s most famous bridges, and this shot from atop it showcases New York’s geometric beauty.

Manhattan in Winter

This was taken in January of 2009 atop the Empire State Building. While shooting this, the temperature dropped to -15 with 45 mile an hour winds. My hand stuck to my camera.

Lime Tonic

This shot was taken to capture the beauty and simplicity of a lime and tonic water.

This is  very early shot of mine, from the July 4th celebration in Greenville, SC in 2004.

The Green Lion

Munich is a city known for its lions, they are everywhere. There is even a beer company in Munich called Lowenbrau which transates to “Lion’s Brew”. This was one of the more interesting lions in Munich.

Shades

At the top of Zugspitze the sun was incredibly bright, and one of the more intresting ways to show the beauty of the mountains was to do it through the reflections on the glasses of a beautiful woman.

Pat Martino

This shot was taken in January of 2009 in New York City at the Birdland.

Victoria

This shot makes use of incandescent light, which is my favorite to use if I cannot use natural light. I worked with Victoria as a model for several years, and she made shooting easy.

Dreamy Emu

This emu lives at the Riverbanks Zoo, and this picture is one of the few film photographs in my portfolio. This shot caught the emu just as it shut its eyes, and that paired with the blur of the background gives the whole shot a dreamy feel.

The Top of The Royal Mile

This square at the top of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh Scotland is known for being a place where plague victims were burried and where a fire caused thousands of people to be cooked alive in underground chambers.

Edinburgh Castle

This is the outer wall of Edinburgh Castle in Edinburgh Scotland. There has been some sort of settlement on this hill since the 500s.

Daniel

This portrait is of Daniel and his 3 year old cat Oreo, his mother set up the shoot in their home so that they could give the photographs to their father for Father’s Day.

Ruins in St. Andrews

These are the ruins of St. Andrews Castle in St. Andrew, Scotland, with borders on the North Sea.

This photo was taken at the parakeet exhibit at the Riverbanks Zoo.

These are the ruins of Hollyrood Abbey in Edinburgh Scotland. This photograph was taken in October of 2008.

The Ruins of St. Andrews

These are the ruins of St. Andrews Cathedral in St. Andrews, Scotland. Built in the 1200’s this is all that remains.

Glamis Castle

Glamis Castle sits  between the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands, it is one of the homes of the Scottish Royal family.

Church on the Alps

This church sits at the first summit of Zugspitze. Its stark simplicity only adds to the beauty of the mountain.

Scott Feeds the Birds

Scott was my tutor in Germany, and while eating at the restaurant at the top of Zugspitze, he decided to feed the birds.

The Cross of St. Andrews

The gravestones in St. Andrews cemetery were especially beautiful.

The Darkness

This shot exhibits a darker side to Victoria’s modeling. This shot was lit only with incandescent lights to give it a warmth while maintaining the darker mood to the image.

Mallory’s Dance

This photograph (shot on film) was taken in March of 2006.  The model’s name is Mallory and she is an aspiring actress currently living in Greenville, SC.

Beast’s Sadness

This Giraffe lives at the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC. This shot captures the inherent sadness in zoo animals.
